It’s no secret that I love a good Crafternoon. However, it turns out that stepping up this idea and adding amazing wine, delicious food, and your favorite people is actually the best recipe for a girl’s night!
This summer I gathered some of my nearest and dearest to the Parachute Hotel in Venice, CA for a lovely summer fete where our friends from Martha Stewart provided all the goodies to paint (they have a new watercolor line of paints out) and their wine label, Martha Wine Co. did not disappoint with their fruitful collection.
Needless to say, this was my dream night.
Martha Wine Co. recently launched, and everyone so eager to try it. It was the perfect summer wine to go with our bites. The rosé was the clear winner of the night.
Parachute, Founder and CEO, Ariel Kaye aka my very dear friend, was so gracious to help in hosting the evening by letting us use the space above the Parachute HQ’s. She DJ’ed (just from her phone, don’t get crazy), where she felt like 90’s R&B was the way to go – like there would be any objection to that!
PS- If you sqint your eyes and look in the bottom right corner, you may think you see a Rothko. But no… that’s just some vibrant Martha Stewart watercolor paint on Parachute linen sheets. Don’t they say imitation is the highest form of flattery.
Chef Michael from Love + Salt created an amazing menu. Between painting all evening and sips of vino, delicious bites of?local cherries with pistachio pesto and buratta,?Avocado toast with heirloom tomato & radish,?Mini brown sugar puddings and more?were served. ?Chef Michael Fiorelli?of?Love & Salt Restaurant?wanted to create a menu that tasted how summer feels with all the sweet and savory moments in between.
better place than the Parachute Hotel to enjoy the sunset while having a GNO! Strongly suggest you check it out if you haven’t been.
Paint and Wine on repeat…
Did I mention we were painting on white linen sheets?!
Hmmm, so much fun- we may just make this a quarterly tradition! Next time… maybe pottery night?!
